Virtual Programs
All our programs from January - March will be offered via Zoom from the safety of your home. To "attend" you will need to purchase supplies when required, and have a stable WiFi connection along with a smartphone, computer or tablet that will allow you to join the Zoom meeting. 
Other than the cost of supplies, the programs are FREE! You may cancel your registration at any time without penalty. 
Once you have registered for a program, you will be sent a program information sheet and a Zoom link.

Available programs are:
Mindful Movement: January 19 - March 23, every Tuesday at 6:30pm
Join Myrna on Tuesday evenings from January 19-March 23 as she guides you through a gentle Mindful Movement practice via Zoom. This class is a slower paced practice that focuses on breath-work and gentle yoga movements that help with alignment; it is recommended you be comfortable getting up and down from the floor with relative ease. Mindful Movement is an effective and safe way to stretch and move your body while increasing your mind/body awareness and easing mental and physical tension.
We recommend having a yoga mat, comfortable clothing and a water bottle handy. 
Introduction to Woodcarving: January 25th & February 1st at 7:00pm
Join experienced hand and chainsaw carver Russ Kubara as he leads you through the introductory basics of woodcarving. For $30, you will be able to purchase a beginner kit with a knife and 4 projects that you will work on with Russ during the class.

How to make Perogies: a Cook-Along on January 30th 12:00pm
Have you always wanted to learn how to make perogies, but didn't have a Baba to teach you? Now's your chance to learn! Join Jen Wilgosh on a Saturday afternoon as she instructs you through making the perogy dough, rolling, cutting and filling it, and the best ways to cook your perogies! 
You will be required to purchase the necessary ingredients or any supplies you do not have at home already. The price is based on where you shop for groceries. Once you register you will be sent a recipe, ingredient list and instructions closer to the date. 
Please note, we recommend make the filling yourself (it's easy we promise) either the night before or the morning of so it has time to cool!

Chef in the House: Soup Cook-Along on February 10th at 6:30pm
Join Chef Roger Wilton as he instructs you through making a Mulligatawny soup. This is a curry based soup with rice and chicken. 
You will be able to purchase a dry ingredient kit from Pennyweight Market, price TBD. You will be required to purchase chicken (cut TBD). Upon registering for the class you will get an informative email closer to the date with the recipe, ingredient and supply instructions. 

Valentines Sugar Cookie: A Bake-Along on February 12th at 6:00pm
Join experienced cookie decorator Mallory for this fun Valentine's themed bake-along. Mallory will take you through making the cookies, rolling and cutting the dough, and decorating with royal icing. She will lead you through how to make an easy royal icing and the tips and tricks around using it! Impress your Valentine with homemade, personalized cookies. 
An activity kit will be available for purchase from Pennyweight Market closer to the date. This will include some pre-made royal icing that is colored and a heart shaped cookie cutter. Price of the kit is still TBD. 

Intro to Crocheting on February 24th at 6:00pm
Crochet is a great and versatile craft! Join crochet crafter Mallory as she leads you through the basics of crochet, how to start, how to read instructions, and how to do the basic stitches. Mallory will also introduce you to some great resources so you can carry forward with your crocheting with confidence. 
An Intro to Crocheting kit will be available for purchase from Needle Crafts + Studio in Beausejour. It will include a hook, a ball of cotton yarn and a tapestry needle. Price TBD. You are more than welcome to use any of your own supplies if you already have! 
Making Mandalas on March 3 at 6:00pm
Mandalas are a drawing craft that works with symmetry and design in a circular pattern. The activity is both relaxing and satisfying as your mandala comes together, each one unique from the next! Join Mallory as she leads you through this simple activity.
Much of the supplies needed you very likely will already have around the house, or can be purchased at the dollar store. 
Disney Trivia on March 12 at 7:00pm
So you think you know Disney? 
Quizmaster Mallory will take you through the classic Disney topics in fairytales and songs, and also quiz you on more modern topics such as Pirates, Star Wars and Disney Plus novelties. Be prepared for this family fun event! You can sign up as a household or FaceTime with friends to work together as a team! A prize is still TBD. 
How to Make a Dreamcatcher on March 24th at 7:00pm
Join Brenda Mousseau as she leads you through making your very own dreamcatcher. Dreamcatchers are great keepsakes, and can be used for decoration with the added benefit of warding of bad energy. Supplies will be purchased in advanced by Brenda's supplier, price of the kit are TBD. 
Sprinkles By Sherelle: Cupcake Bake-Along on March 29th at 5:30pm 
Sherelle Frith of "Sprinkles by Sherelle" makes wonderful themed cakes and treats in Beausejour! She will lead you through a fun bake-along suitable for all ages as you make cupcakes, buttercream icing and decorate your cupcakes! 
A dry ingredient kit will be available for purchase at Pennyweight Market. Additional supplies and kit cost are TBD.
