The 2026 Granting Application Process is now underway! If you are (or know of) a non-profit group/organization or charity (in the BRCF Catchment Area) that could use financial support, please reach out!

The process has changed a little this year so please take note. You cannot access the package online. The only way to receive an application package is by messaging or calling the Foundation. There are two important reasons for this change.

  1. Community capacity building and connection is very important to the Foundation. The Board of Directors doesn’t want the process to simply be about filling out paperwork and waiting for a letter response. Being a fairly small rural community brings a unique opportunity to partner in so many ways. The BRCF isn’t a bank that distributes funds. It is a Community Foundation and a “community foundation” is about the community. It is about knowing your neighbours, working together, driving change, celebrating successes and offering support. Stronger connections with our local groups are so important to the Foundation!
  2. This new process allows BRCF Administration & Marketing Coordinator, Debbie Majeau, to provide additional assistance to groups. At the Foundation, we know grant applications can be daunting, especially if you are new to them. The Board Members also appreciate that like them, many of you are volunteers with a lot going on. Meeting with Debbie prior to beginning your application means that no one is spending tons of time on an application that may not qualify. It also means that applicants will be able to understand everything that is required within the application process. Again, it’s all about support!

The deadline to apply for grants is Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 4:30 pm. Please do not wait to get started. Reach out today! Call/text Debbie at 431-343-2723 or email brcf@brcfoundation.ca
